About the AuthorChris Berger recieved his BA in Philosophy from Knox College in 2008 and is currently taking a year off between that and graduate school. He hopes eventually to become a professor of philosophy and a polyglot of the highest degree. He has long been a very opinionated young man, often to the frustration of his elders. When Clinton was impeached, he became fast interested in politics, a hobby which has never flagged since. His opinion extends to a wide variety of other topics, but politics will always be his home in that regard. His interest in politics stems from his love of philosophy. While many consider the subject dry and boring (and in the hands of the wrong person, it is), Chris loves the extreme attention to minute detail necessary to survive in the philosophical landscape. He is primarily an ethicist, though he dabbles in metaphysics when the need arises, and enjoys understanding most things in all their dimensions. From philosophy proper, there arise three principle branches of applied philosophy: law, religion, and politics, all of which seem extraordinarily interwoven in today’s world. Of these, politics is the fastest paced, and there’s always something new happening, which is a nice change from the more stolid pace of traditional philosophy. This focus on philosophy has given him a relatively unique outlook on the political landscape: from the beginning forward. Often commentators are more concerned with how given events will affect the political parties, but Chris remains focused on how these parties will react to them, and what the ultimate outcome will be. He will of course take occasional shots at one party or another, but on the whole, he hopes you will find this website and its contents informative about the events of our national politics without too much focus on the frivolities of it all.
